SEPTEMBER 15 - 17 $599.00

The beautiful fall colors provide a lovely backdrop for our visit to Washington, DC, where we will honor American heroes, tour the Capitol building, visit many Memorials, explore the Smithsonian Museums, and stay at the Embassy Suites in Old Town Alexandria, VA.
Day 1:  We begin our late afternoon arrival with visits to the WWII, Martin Luther King and Iwo Jima Memorials, followed by an included dinner at our hotel. The evening is yours to explore Old Town Alexandria or take the local trolley to see the area. 
Day 2:  A tour of the Capitol building kicks off our day in this historic city before lunch and free time, on your own, to visit the Smithsonian Museums, a National Treasure showcasing our unique history. This afternoon, we have a guided city tour featuring national monuments. Dinner is included tonight at Joe Theisman’s restaurant near our hotel. 
Day 3: This morning, we visit Arlington Cemetery, view the Kennedy gravesites, changing of the guards and more before returning home.

SEPTEMBER 24 - 30 $ $950.00

Join us as we celebrate the birth of the 35th president of the United States, John F. Kennedy, the youngest and the first Roman Catholic ever elected President. A beautiful time of year to travel and view fall foliage and historic sites and landmarks in the New England area. 
Day 1: We begin our travels through the state of Pennsylvania, and its beautiful fall colors. We will overnight at the Hampton Inn, Wilkes-Barre, PA
Day 2: Continuing eastward through towns and cities with seafaring history of ship building and whaling, we arrive late afternoon at the Hyannis Inn, our home for 4 nights. Enjoy dinner on your own in downtown Hyannis, walking distance from the hotel. 
Day 3: We will travel, with a local guide, to the JFK Memorial, thru Hyannis Port and the Kennedy compound, St, Francis Xavier Church, where the Kennedys attended, the Hyannis Armory, where JFK made his acceptance speech and the JFK Museum. Enjoy an afternoon at sea with a 1 hour Hyannis Harbor Cruise before an included dinner at a beautiful historic home built in 1849, The Optimist Café, an old Seaman’s House. 
Day 4: Today we cross the Cape Cod Canal and head to Boston, the capital of Massachusetts and the largest city in New England. We begin our day at the JFK Presidential Library and Museum. Enter the re-created world of the Kennedy Presidency for a first-hand experience of his life, legacy and leadership. Have lunch and some shopping time on your own in Quincy Market; visit Faneuil Hall where JFK delivered his final speech of his 1960 presidential campaign. After lunch we will tour Boston with our local guide. Dinner is included at the Ye OLDE UNION OYSTER HOUSE – the oldest continuously operated restaurant in the United States and a favorite of JFK, Booth #18 is the “Kennedy Booth”.
Day 5:  Our guide will travel with us on historic Route 6A, Old Kings Highway, through centuries of Cape Cod history, to the Cape Cod National Seashore Visitors Center. As we proceed to the extreme tip of Cape Cod, we will arrive in Provincetown – Land’s end. Enjoy a Dune tour excursion and learn where famous artists and writers became inspired. Celebrate JFK’s birthday with dinner and entertainment at the Yarmouth House. 
Day 6:  We’ll have time to rest from our adventures as we travel to Wilkes-Barre, PA for an overnight stay.

Enjoy an exciting adventure to West Virginia and Maryland to experience two great train rides in the scenic splendor of this area.
Day 1: We arrive in WV to begin our first railroad adventure aboard the Potomac Eagle Scenic RR. This train travels through the area known as the "trough" along the start of the Potomac River. Lunch will be included as we view the nesting areas of the American Brown Eagle.  
Day 2:  Today, we board the Western Maryland Scenic Railroad. Enjoy a great railroad experience on board (lunch included) as we make our way through the countryside, where you have an opportunity to explore the town before returning to Cumberland. Later, we depart for home with a late evening arrival.

The Great State of Maryland welcomes us as we discover it’s history. Howard Johnson Plaza Hotel Oceanfront is our home as we visit Historic Cambridge, & Berlin MD, Annie Oakley’s homestead, The Historical Society dedicated to the maritime heritage and shipbuilding trade, Harriett Tubman’s early life as conductor of the Underground Railroad, Assateague Island National Seashore, home to the wild ponies, tour of Layton’s Winery and beach time.
Day 1: Depart early morning as we make our way to Ocean City, Maryland. Howard Johnson Oceanfront Plaza Hotel will be our home for next 4 nights.
Day 2: Today’s activities, with our guide, are a tour of Cambridge, Maryland where we will discover the history of the Eastern Shore. Visits to Annie Oakley's home, Layton's Chance Winery, Eastern Shore Historical Society dedicated to the maritime heritage and shipbuilding trade, & much more.  Dinner is included this evening at local restaurant.
Day 3:  Fun filled day with our guide as we make our way to Assateague Island National Seashore.  Visit the home of the wild ponies, & walk along the bayside trail.  Then travel to historic Berlin, Maryland - America's coolest small town for time for lunch & shopping in this quaint town. Dinner is included tonight is at Ocean City Fish Company - home of the World's Best Crab Cake!
